 Nehemiah Ministry (The Gardening Group)

For those of you who are not familiar with the Nehemiah Ministry, it was formed about 10 years ago, with the purpose of taking care of the church grounds. At the time we decided to ask the Church Council if we could be in charge of the grounds. They were in bad shape and it was costing $300 a month for lawn service. As a result of forming this ministry, we have a wonderful group of loyal volunteers that work tirelessly each summer mowing, watering, planting and pulling weeds, and we are also helping the church financially.

When you join a church, you not only become a member, but you pledge to help by giving your time, gifts and talents. We are looking for some more volunteers that are willing to give a few hours each month helping us continue the Nehemiah Ministry. If gardening is something you are interested in and want to get involved with caring for the church grounds, let us know. We provide the lawnmowers, and all we need are some good strong volunteers that want to help.

If you are interested in helping, you would be welcomed with open arms. We have a good time playing in the dirt. The more volunteers we get, the less each of us have to do. We have come a long way and I’m so proud of everything we have accomplished. If you are interested, please let us know.
