Beaverton First United Methodist Church is partnered with the Oregon Food Bank to provide assistance to people through our Free Food Market, which is open every 2nd Monday & 4th Thursday of the month from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Our Free Food Market is open to anyone in need of food assistance, no income verification required.
The United Methodist Committee on Relief is present whenever and wherever disaster occurs. Once a year on “One Great Hour of Sharing” Sunday all United Methodist Churches take an offering to support the administrative work of UMCOR so that 100% of any gift to the relief work done by this tireless organization goes to the people in need. Our Church is committed to caring for children and youth experiencing the impact of poverty, hunger and homelessness. In partnership with other local based organizations, we provide support for various needs including but not limited to food, school supplies, and essential personal items. Please contact the church office at 503‑646‑7107 for more information.
We offer free ESL class for adult beginners. Class happens once a week every Monday at 10:30am and will last through to May. Please invite anyone you think would like to learn English and/or improve on their skills.
