Looking for an Easter service in Beaverton? You are welcome at Beaverton First — whether you come every week or this is your one Sunday of the year.

Reviewed by the Beaverton First UMC editorial team · Fact-checked July 2026

Easter has a way of drawing people back — the lilies, the old hymns, the sunrise feeling of a new start. If you are looking for a warm, unfussy place to mark it in Beaverton, here is what to know about Easter and the days leading up to it at Beaverton First.

Easter Sunday at Beaverton First

On Easter Sunday we celebrate the resurrection together in our regular morning worship, at 11:00 a.m. in downtown Beaverton — music, the Easter story, and a hopeful word, in person and by live stream.1 Come exactly as you are; there is no dress code, and no one will make you feel like a stranger for showing up.

Planning your EasterEaster falls on a different date each year, and special Holy Week gatherings vary from year to year. Please confirm this year’s Easter and Holy Week times on our homepage or by calling the church office before you come.

Holy Week: the days before Easter

Easter is the last day of a week that tells the whole story. In case the names are new to you: Palm Sunday remembers Jesus entering Jerusalem to cheering crowds; Maundy Thursday recalls his last supper with his friends; Good Friday marks his death; and then comes Easter, the surprise at the empty tomb. Many churches, ours included, mark these days — and you are welcome at any of them, whether you know the story by heart or are hearing it for the first time.

Whether you come every week or once a year, there is a seat for you on Easter.

New to church, or coming back?

Easter is one of the most common days for people to walk back through a church door, or through one for the first time — and it is a lovely day to do it. You do not need to know when to stand or what to say. If you would like a sense of things first, our guides to what to expect at a service and finding a welcoming church in Beaverton will walk you through it. As an openly affirming congregation, we mean the welcome for everyone.
